Pretty South Downs village with Norman church, duck pond, and village green south of Petersfield.
Buriton is a village at the southern edge of the South Downs National Park, about two miles south of Petersfield. It is one of the prettiest villages in East Hampshire, with a Norman church, a duck pond, and a range of listed buildings clustered around a traditional village green.
The village is a gateway into the South Downs from the south, with access to the South Downs Way long-distance footpath. Buriton has a pub, a village hall, and strong community organisations but is otherwise quiet and primarily residential.
