Liss

Large commuter village with its own railway station, north-east of Petersfield.

Liss is a large village in East Hampshire, about four miles north-east of Petersfield on the A3. It comprises two main settlements — Liss and Liss Forest — and has its own railway station on the Waterloo to Portsmouth line, making it a popular commuter village.

The village has a range of local amenities including shops, a post office, pubs, primary schools, and community facilities. The surrounding countryside is part of the South Downs National Park, with good walking along the River Rother and the Shipwrights Way.
