Using ChatGPT and AI to Grow a Petersfield Small Business: What to Do Yourself and What to Have Installed

ChatGPT is good for writing and thinking. Following up a lead is a different job. A guide for shop and market-stall owners deciding where to start.

In Petersfield or anywhere, use ChatGPT yourself for writing and thinking, and have AI installed for jobs that run without you, like replying to enquiries and chasing leads. Dean Keating does the installing, remotely from Horndean, Hampshire. It is not a course. Call or WhatsApp 07418 627304.

Two different jobs

Many owners start with ChatGPT, and that is sensible. It helps write a product description, tidy a newsletter, think through a price list, or draft a reply. It is a tool you pick up, use and put down.

The second kind of job never gets picked up by you at all. It is a reply that should go out at 9pm, a follow-up that should be sent three days after a quote, a reminder before a visit. A chat window cannot do those, because nobody is typing into it at the time.

An independent shop or stall

The directory lists 25 shops, and the town centre is built around Market Square, with a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays; see the shopping guide. An owner who sells in person all day is the person with the least time to sit at a screen.

Things worth doing with ChatGPT yourself:

  • drafting product descriptions and social posts
  • working out how to word a delay or a refund policy
  • summarising a supplier's long email

Things better handled by an installed system:

  • replying to an enquiry that arrives out of hours
  • following up an unanswered order or quote request
  • sorting messages so the urgent ones surface
  • sending confirmations and reminders

Where Dean Keating comes in

He installs AI agents in the tools a business already uses: email, web forms, WhatsApp and diary. His website calls it installed for you, not handed over. He starts with the single task that makes the most difference, then trains your team and supports it.

What he does not offer

It is not a course. If you want to learn ChatGPT yourself, a trainer is the right person.

Horndean, Hampshire, so the same county. Setup is remote, and his website says he can visit Hampshire businesses in person.
